Pro Republicans feel it to be a good representation of their values and beliefs while Pro Democrats might find the symbol sickening and almost a huge turn-off. The convention of the " elephant" is a symbol representing a group of people with similar political views and ideals. The invention of the " elephant" as the symbol representing the republicans. The elephant that was was published in a democratic cartoon was the animal that was being scared away by a donkey. The republicans say the elephant is strong and dignified while the democrats say that the donkey is smart and brave.
